Ganesh Sathyamoorthy
Ganesh Sathyamoorthy is a senior health system leader with more than twenty years’ senior experience spanning applied health research, NHS delivery, policy influence and system reform. He specialises in health inequalities, population health and equitable research, and is nationally recognised for his work on ethnicity, workforce equity and inclusive service design.
Ganesh has held senior roles within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) Northwest London, where he co‑founded the Ethnicity & Health Unit, led major programmes on prevention and early detection in diverse communities, and secured over £40 million in programme funding and co‑investment. He has published in The Lancet Haematology, BMJ and the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Alongside his national policy work, including advising senior civil servants through the NIHR Growth for Health report, Ganesh has extensive experience working across ICSs, local authorities, community organisations and academic partners to translate evidence into measurable improvements in population health.
Ganesh joins Healthcare Central London one day a week as a Research Consultant, supporting the development of research strategy leading to health improvement.
